Adam reaches his first final

outside the accommodation 

Adam Claffey capped a good weekend for the club at the Leinster ranking tournament by reaching the final of the Under 14 boys. He lost in the final to Sam Logue.Ian Fahey was 5th and Conor Beades was 6th.

Adam came through a difficult draw. In the last 16 round he was down 2-1 and 10-8 to Kieran Kelly before winning that set 12-10 and going on to win the fifth in a tight and exciting match. In the quarters he played Conor Beades and won 3-0 and then went on to beat Paul O'Dea in the semi. It was a good day allround with 3 players in the top 6 and Luke O'Shea, Stephen Hanaphy and Matthew Jones in the next 6.

Earlier on Conor had won 3-1 against Pshemek Kossowski ,the Irish number one under 12 before going on to the quarter final, coming out on top of the all Eastpoint second round group with Matthew and Joe Robinson. Luke OShea surprisingly lost in his first round group to Conor Mulally and then had to play Paul O'Dea in the next round groups with Paul winning 3-0

There were three under 10s from the club making their debut in the tournament, Kevin Farrelly, Cathal O'Mahoney and Srephen Robinson. They all enjoyed their first tournamnt and played well. Kevin did well to finish in 6th place
